This refund policy outlines how Goluxdrivee handles booking cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, security deposit returns, and approved refunds for self drive car rentals in Kolkata.

Cancellation policy

Standard cancellation and no-show rules.

48 hours or more before pickup

If a standard booking is cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time, the customer is generally eligible for a high refund, subject to deduction of non-recoverable payment gateway or administrative charges where applicable.

24 to 48 hours before pickup

If a standard booking is cancelled between 24 and 48 hours before pickup, Goluxdrivee may retain part of the booking amount to cover vehicle reservation, blocking charges, staffing, and payment processing costs.

Less than 24 hours or no-show

Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup, failure to arrive at pickup, failure to present required documents, or failure to take delivery after confirmation may be treated as last-minute cancellations or no-shows and may be non-refundable.

Rescheduling requests

Rescheduling is subject to vehicle availability, pricing differences, and sufficient notice. Any revised fare, extension charge, or timing-related deduction will be communicated before the updated booking is confirmed.

Booking changes after confirmation

If the customer changes vehicle type, pickup timing, pickup location, or trip duration after confirmation, the booking amount may be revised. The customer may need to pay the fare difference or accept a partial refund depending on the change requested.

If Goluxdrivee cancels

If Goluxdrivee is unable to provide the confirmed vehicle due to operational, safety, or force majeure reasons, we may offer an alternate vehicle, reschedule the trip, or provide a refund for the unused booking amount, depending on the circumstances.

Deposits and refund timing

How deposit releases and approved refunds are processed.

Security deposit refunds

Where a security deposit is collected, it is usually reviewed after vehicle return, trip closure, and pending toll, challan, extra kilometer, fuel, damage, or cleaning assessments. Deposit release may be delayed if post-trip charges remain under review.

Refund processing timeline

Approved refunds are typically initiated within a reasonable number of working days after review. The actual time taken to reflect the refund depends on the bank, card issuer, payment gateway, or UPI provider used for the original transaction.

Cases where refund may be reduced or withheld

Refund amounts may be reduced or withheld where there are unresolved dues, chargebacks, misuse, false documents, legal restrictions, payment disputes, or charges arising from traffic fines, damage, cleaning, fuel, or other contractual liabilities.
